The annual spring Tabla Seminar with Sankar P. Chowdhury will take place again in 2022 from April 25 to July 10. Sankar has been a visiting teacher at the College for over 15 years and is greatly valued for his skilled and patient teaching. Dear Students and Friends, It is a pleasure to announce the 35th Annual Seminar of the Ali Akbar College of Music – Switzerland (Part I), which will take place from November 11 -17, 2020! Thirty-five years is an important milestone for the College and certainly calls for a celebration! However, due to the Covid pandemic, we have decided to wait until November 2021 to present Part II of the 35th Annual Seminar, which will include the 35th Jubilee celebration & Gala concert (as well as the 36th Annual Seminar). The teaching during this seminar will take place partly live and partly on Zoom. For example, both Maestro Swapan Chaudhuri and Daniel Bradley will be teaching exclusively on Zoom. Dear Friends, I am very sorry to inform you that due to the ongoing spread and dangers of the Corona virus, we have decided to cancel the upcoming concert of Shrinivas Joshi, which was to take place in the Salon de Musique on March 21st. We hope this crisis is over very soon and look forward to inviting Shrinivas again during a future trip to Europe. Please note: if you have already made reservations and transferred money to the Ali Akbar College bank account, please send us your bank details, with IBAN number, and we will refund your payments.
